history

i was at a pet shop one day when one of the employees came out from the back with a bundled up blanket in their arms. everyone else in the store crowded around them to see what they had: a tiny white kitten. someone brought the kitten to them after finding it abandoned in a dumpster. a month later, i was back in the shop, and i asked about the kitten. i was told he was still available, by some miracle, so i immediately paid the down-payment. i brought flurrie home in a taxi. the pet shop didn't give me a crate or box, so i carried him in my arms

he was a very active kitten, a flurry of activity, you'd say; so we named him flurrie

it was a stormy night when i brought her home; so we named her stormie

history

my dad let stormie out*. i was outside looking for her, and heard another cat crying desperately. i went to look, and found a kitten in my neighbor's tree. i knocked on their door, and they told me the kitten had been there the last few days, and that they hadn't seen a mother or other kittens, and they were going to ask me if i wanted it. as soon as i picked deedee up out of the tree she snuggled into me and purred. i brought her home nestled against my bosom

it was fortunate for me to find her, because i had just lost stormie*, but it was also fortunate for her to be found; so i named her serendipitie

* stormie came back after a month to my tears of relief. i still haven't forgiven my dad
